The good news is I looked healthy and normal. All they found was one little tiny bit of endometriosis and some very minimal scarring, which they removed, and a small fibroid, which they did not. The bad news is, none of that is enough to effect fertility and I still have no answer to the question, "why am I not pregnant yet?"
Overall, it wasn't so bad. Last thing I remember was the nurse trying to untie my gown and saying "your husband tied this, didn't he? I can always tell when the husbands tie these. They tie them so tight. I think they are afraid of someone getting in there!" She was right. The weird thing about anesthesia is unlike falling asleep naturally, I have no memory of actually going out. I just remember being awake and then suddenly, I'm being wheeled to recovery and I'm in pain.
The funny thing is the two things that hurt the worst are where my IV was in my hand and the freaky shoulder and chest pains from the gas. I can't be upright for more than about a minute without excruciating pain! Also, my ears keep popping. My belly just feels like I did about 1,000 push ups yesterday. Tender and stiff, but not too bad. It was a little disturbing when I got up and both my shirts were soaked in blood from one of my incisions. I guess the glue didn't hold. That's right, I am glued back together.
I guess I'm glad I did it, and I am so thankful for all the advice I got on the fertility friend message boards from other women who have gone before me. I was very prepared for what to expect and all those little comfort items I would need, like sippy cups, so I could drink my juice lying down and stool softener for the constipation. Things the doctor doesn't tell you about.
I'm glad the surgery went well, and I hope you have a speedy recovery.

Good news on the results, it all sounds v healthy, I'm so pleased! That shoulder pain will go in a couple of days, until then, just stay on the sofa.

Really glad you are ok and healing. It is frustrating not to have a straight answer but I'm glad you got the all clear.
