Oh, internets, I have so much to say to you, but I have so little time now with all the going to school and hours and hours of time sucking yet essential tv watching I have to do nowadays.
I want to tell you all about how much I am enjoying my job (pounding my fists bloody on a very large piece of lumber......) and really connecting with my students and coworkers. That's the truth! I'm not making it up!
I want to tell you about my crazy weekend with my niece and nephew and show you all the adorable pictures we took and how they made us sick and how I almost called in sick to work until I rubbed my hands together Dr. Evil style and thought, "wait...wouldn't it be better to go to work, get paid, and cough and sneeze on my students to ensure a smaller class size for at least a few days sometime in the relatively near future?"
I want to tell you all about how the "scheduler" at my RE's office won't return my phone calls and I still can't seem to pin down a date for a laparoscopy. But, we're giving it our best college try one more time a la nature....
But, yesterday when I came home after 10 hours of work, Dan was sooo excited to give me my birthday present he couldn't wait one more week. He handed me the box, I tore off the paper that couldn't have been there more than 45 minutes, and this:
is what I found inside. Isn't it CUTE?!?!
What was even cuter, was when Dan said, "And the best part was, it only cost $30!" Huh? Before you all start rushing out to Best Buy for the $30 ipod nano, he is not counting the washing machine quarters from the rental he manages and the poker windfall from last Thursday to which he only had to add $30 from savings. And yes, I have totally forgiven him for spending $200 when we are living off of savings for one more week because, how sweet is that?
So, I will be very busy for a while downloading music and working the streets to jumpstart my savings account for a new computer with a usb 2.0 port.
Wow! That is sooo cute! What's the first thing you download onto it? And I'm so sorry they made you sick... Wait until you hear about Ian's day yesterday!
Happy Early Birthday Big Sis!!! I love you!!

Sweet! That's one cute little iPod nano. Thinking of getting one for DH for xMas. Would you say it's worth it?
Happy Birthday to You. May the year be full of good things.
