We had a very relaxing weekend at the beach. We stayed at my parents house and ate too much and drank too much. We finished off a bottle of cinnamon schnapps left over from a trip to Expo '86 in Vancouver over a rousing game of trivial pursuit. I thought it tasted like it was concocted by Avon. It rained almost the whole time we were there until the last few hours when the clouds parted, the sun came out and it got very warm.
It was hard to leave. On the way out of town, we stopped at a big chain pharmacy that I have been to before in the city. I'm sure they'd have me in their system. I needed to fill my Clomid prescription, which I am supposed to start today. By the time we got home, all the pharmacies would be closed. The hag behind the counter made me wait about 10 minutes before she even acknowledged me. When she finally helped me, she discovered they did not have enough of the medication on hand to fill my prescription, so she called around. Everyone else was closed. I said, "Oh, that's okay, I'll just fill it in the city tomorrow."
Her answer: "You don't need these. You don't want triplets, do you?"
I should have immediately turned around and left the store then, but I said, "actually the chances of that are extremely low with this." Shouldn't she have known that anyway? Isn't that her JOB?
"You should just relax(!?!), adopt and then you'll get pregnant, like everyone does. Have you taken these before?"
"yes, I have."
"Did they, uh...work?"
"No, not so far..."
Dan didn't hear what she said, but he said he could tell I was mad because I turned a brilliant shade of magenta. I cannot believe a professional pharmacist said that to me!
Jebus. I'd have had words with the bitch. and maybe a few smacks to the head. Fuckers.

That is absolutely outrageous! You asked for a prescription to be filed, not ASSVICE to be handed out at the same time. I would have been tempted to give her a smack too.
