I am just emerging from a virtually internet-free week, due to a combination of great weather, not able to put down The Time Traveler's Wife and not much to say. So, here is a brief update on my life:
School is going well. (specifics deleted)
Last night I took my last dose of clomid this month, and hopefully ever. At least we didn't repeat the crying jag of April '05. I didn't seem to have as many symptoms this time. Although it seemed nature was playing a cruel joke by having the first 90 something weather of the year those 5 days. from about noon on my classroom gets direct sun from a wall of windows. Even with the shades drawn, I had to instruct the children not to touch the windows or they may burn themselves. In a word, it was sweltering. Clomid induced hot flashes just enhanced the experience.
Next week, I go in for an ultrasound to see whats going on in there. If my cycle sticks to its schedule, I will probably end up having an IUI next Friday. Which is the day of the staff party my husband volunteered to throw at our house. The shoebox. We were hoping for a yard party, but the forecast is for rain. Waaaaah! So if Friday IS the day my ovaries decide to explode, I'm not sure how we are going to pull off both being absent the day everyone is coming to OUR house and not explaining. Anyone out there have any good lies/excuses for this kind of situation?
