After a very long day at work, topped off by a marathon staff meeting (in which I took a practice 3rd grade math test and got 22 out of 24 right...how humiliating!) I remembered that thought that has been on my mind ALL DAY and stopped off at Walgreen's to buy some things. One thing I needed, and three things I didn't. I'll let you guess:
- Shout spray laundry pre-treater
- Dental Floss
- A pregnancy test
- TV Guide
Um, because #3 just COULDN'T be the only thing I bought. Reminds me of the days when the list was
- ice cream
- condoms
- gum
So, I did it.
Want me to tell you what it said?
Really?
I'm Pregnant!!!!!
I can hardly believe it. Dan DIDN'T believe me when I told him. I had to convince him I wasn't pulling his leg. We both just stared at those two lines with the goofiest looks two people ever had for what seemed like forever (especially to Dexter, who needed someone to throw the hotdog, dammit!)
Now, what do I do? I never anticipated this happening without close medical supervision and guidance. I feel a little lost.....And let the freaking out begin!! I have to ask, those of you who are/have been pregnant, is a painful twinge, much like a mild ovulation pain, normal? Or am I having an ectopic? Oh, this is just the beginning!

Congratulations!!!

Sometimes, during implantation, there might be a little pain. It's very, very common and a good sign!
I had been told by so many doctors that I

Hi. Just discovered you through http://knockedupthenknockeddown.blogspot.com/.
Congratulations!
With regards to your question about the ovulation pain, my experience is that that's perfectly normal, and that it can be very painful. I thought I had an ectopic also, and had several ultrasounds before I was convinced I didn't.
You should probably go in and get ultrasounds done to be absolutely sure, but more than likely, it really is just normal pain. Since you're so in-tune with your body (from trying to get pregnant) you are probably noticing something most pregnant women don't.
Again, congratulations! :)
